WHAT IS EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY?

Therapy using expressive arts does not require artistic experience or skill.  It can be collage, doodling, moving meditation, writing, playing with musical instruments, or sandplay.

Expressive arts in therapy can provide you with a way to process, self-soothe, practice and to find answers. Expressive arts can be helpful to those that feel stuck in a mental rut, or to deepen a talk therapy discussion.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE IN A SESSION?

Together, we will observe and work with your levels of comfort around different methods of expression, so that you feel engaged and not overwhelmed. I tailor creative approaches to what will work for you.

When words are not enough, we turn to images and symbols to tell our stories. And in telling our stories through art, we find pathways to wellness, recovery and transformation.
